If your heading over the river from St Louis to go to Grafton or to just drive the river rd this is a great lunch stop off in the heart of Alton...cute place ..great sandwiches and good outside patio...would recommend.

We had a wonderful experience at the Brown Bag Bistro! I ended up ordering the sandwich they had shared on Facebook that morning because it looked too good to pass up, and it completely lived up to the hype—absolutely delicious.
The weather was perfect, so we sat outside on the patio. It was lovely with a beautiful view and a great atmosphere. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
We will definitely be back. Highly recommend checking them out!

Absolutely our favorite lunch spot. The sammies and salads are delish and the patio is the best around! Oh, their soups are amazing too. Great staff - very friendly and they work hard! You won't be disappointed!
